WHAT

Extreme makeover of a cabin at Beechwood Lake Christian Camp

 

This property is where Wildfire Christian Camp will initiate their program next summer. We will pull out all of the furnishings, deep clean, repaint, lay flooring, decorate, landscape and furnish a two-bedroom cabin. There are also many other areas on the property where we can assist in cleaning and refurbishing.

WHEN

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday—October 2–4th

 

Some people will leave on Thursday afternoon and spend the night at the camp so they can work all day Friday and Saturday. We will also work part of the day on Sunday and return in time to be ready for classes on Monday. Some people may have to wait until Friday to leave because they have class Thursday night or Friday Morning.

WHERE

Beechwood Lake Christian Camp

(Approximately 6 hours from Memphis.)

HOW

• Transportation will NOT be provided by Mid-South Christian College, so we are asking everyone to carpool and find the best and most efficient way to get to the campground on your own.

• You will be able to spend the nights at the camp, but you will need to bring your own bedding, sleeping bag, etc.

• Meals will be provided for all.

• Work Study students will receive credit for the hours of work that they would normally log during the time they are participating in this project.

• This is a great opportunity to take possession of this property and become good stewards of God’s provisions.

• This is a great opportunity to prepare the grounds for God’s glory as Wildfire Christian Camp reaches out to youth needing to hear the good news of God’s grace!
