COVID-19 & International Students

Fall 2020

What are the implications of the recent guidance from the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) for International Students at Mid-South Christian College?

  1. Mid-South Christian College will be offering a hybrid approach to reopening where classes will be offered in person (face to face) and synchronous online (Zoom). According to the most recent guidance received, even if instruction is 100% online, International students at MSCC can remain in the USA with a valid F-1 Student Visa.

  2. International Students who returned to their home country may study online from their home country or may return to the US, however it is important that international students understand they must enroll in at least 12 credit hours of study to maintain their active status in SEVIS.

  3. International students choosing to study from their home country, must be prepared to return to the US when the institution returns to normal operation.
